the details were lovely.

that was fan-friggin-tastic. adding the smallest details always seems so futile looking at the final product, but it gives the overall flash such a beautiful solid look. we may not be conscious that certain details are there, but it all accumulates into what we see as a whole. and what i saw was amazing. im more of a character artist myself so seeing things like this is always so much more impressive. i cant draw a house to save my life, let alone the steps of an entire town being built. amazing work my friend, keep it up.

this was alright.

you shouldnt be so literal with the imagery. like labeling the window "memories". that wasnt really necessary. unless it was more to be funny. i like the song, good imagery n everything. looks like you know how to set up a scene and all that, so just work on your drawings and your animation skills and im sure you'll be able to put out some quality stuff.

awesome effects.

i always love the look of those burst effects when they look really bright like that, i can never get them right. if i were you id be advertisiing myself to do the effects for some animators flash. your bursts would be good for anything from sword on sword sparks to a big energy blast. you should try applying it to more liquid effects too, like water or blood. adam phillips is good at water effects and we all love him.

Thanx for commenting! Anyone with Flash 8 can easily accomplish this effect. I even described how to do it in the review below your's.
The effects that Adam uses I think were done with Photoshop, and I have no idea how to use it.
The sword spark thing is a good idea but I won't start advertising myself. Also applying it to liquid effects sound intriguing but I'm not sure how. I'll probably experiment with that at some point.

i really like the style.

it reminds me of that one animation from the animatrix with the kids jumping off the broken down building cause a glitch makes them not be able to hit the floor. also the music was catchy n suiting. the only thing i didnt get from it was the metaphor. our freedoms can confine us? confinement can only bring you down? i some how doubt he wanted to be confined like that one reviewer said, that loud sigh at the end wasnt one of relief.

Actually, alot of my recent flash work is inspired alot by the animatrix, especially that segment you pointed out. Its cool that it reminded you of it. It is definitely not an optimistic ending. Im not a big fan of happy endings...
